Take a day with da kids during their half term. They're building a groovy new playground at the end of the road. Even I'm excited the twins were practically scaling the fence. Stella had a pal over to play and we took the long way round to the pizzeria where a large family pizza was duly ordered and polished off whilst dad partook in a cold glass of beer.
Hanna was off shopping with Sandra and Lotta in Lund. After a lovely long 'tumnal walk around the lake we headed over to celebrate Lottas 31st birthday. Karin, as usual, insisted on spending the entire evening communicating through her VR goggles. Is it time for an intervention?
We began with a bubbly glass and a tour of the remarkable renovations. A very tasty stew, with wild shrooms included, was polished off. Multiple children ran around, and were occasionally corralled. I took the twins home so that Sandra could have some quality Hood time. When we opened the blinds the next day,all was white. Who can resist that call? And the cosiness of gaming with Mats! Took the spawn to Simlångsdalen whilst Sandra was away. On saturday we went out and stuck it to the pixies. Nicked a bunch of their Shrooms. Self portrait from selfie. Started by me, but finished spectacularly by Stella and Astrid. Got a little bit grumpy on sunday morning. Bit tired, just wanted to eat my boiled egg and soldiers undisturbed. Thus set myself an unrealistic goal as I was sharing the table with 2 threenahalf year olds and a seven year old. Solution? Next time I will serve aforementionned spawn brekky whilst i drink a nice strong coffee. Then i will focus ALL of my attention on Mats glorious fresh eggs, whilst spawn is put in front of screen (or sent outside depending on weather conditions.)
Poetic potential abounds in this simple picture.
Unmanned and adrift, taking on water. Bless, but it's still afloat. I like the old sticker! Sandra owning it in Waynes Coffee, Gothenburg. Shes on the way to Bens place to a weekend giglet with Malin n Daniel. Something of the sixties about this pic.
Finally! Done Malmö to Torup and Genarp to Torup before but this time with Dom setting the pace did the whole stretch. I had my racer cyclocross and he had a folding fixie, so I was able to keep up! It was perfect weather too, a crisp autumn morning. Took about 90 minutes door to door. My destination door being work in Augustenborg. Popped bike in the boot of the car and home for breakfast number two.
It did however have one unfortunate effect in that i ended up looking like a cross between Beaker and the Scientist. This years theme at Tina n Kalles party was mix n match. There were some memorable efforts. Particluarly the large man who was american footballer from the waist up (complete with helmet) and ballet dancer from the waist down. In the cosy candle lit atmosphere he, at times, posed a bit of a fire risk as his marquee sized ruffles swished excitingly close to flickering flames.
Dom was part Alice Cooper and part Agneta from Abba. The last minute white additions from Erikshjälpen were a stroke of genius. And Sandras specially purchased Eton Johnian sunglasses, the piece de resistance. More pics to follow... |
